Web copywriting and content development for online is quite different to copywriting for print.

This is because the online reader:

  • Skims rather than reads every word.
  • Jumps from page to page.
  • Can enter content at different points.
  • Doesn't like deep scrolling.
  • Finds reading on screen more difficult.

And copywriting which may have been previously created for offline readers can rarely be successfully used online unless it is expertly edited.
