Get your brand on YouTube

YouTube (which was recently aquired by Google in a $1.65 billion share deal) is a website where members of the public can have their five seconds of fame by uploading video content to be watched by the reported 7.5 million monthly visitors to the site.

Google's merger with the start-up could see integration with the suite of AdWords services the search engine company offers. Carrying out a PPC campaign in Google in future to capture the market of eyeballs that travel to YouTube could be in your business interests.

The site in itself provides opportunity for businesses to advertise products and services. As old media declines and new media rises, advertising executives for the world's leading brands are beginning to take these new web forms seriously.

  Yahoo! launches PPC mobile ads

Yahoo! has extended their Pay Per Click (PPC) service to provide sponsored adverts on searches through mobile phones.

At the moment the service is being trialled with a small group of advertisers but the company hopes to roll out the service further. If the service is extended then it opens up the advertising market and allows online advertisers to reach more customers through more devices.

Industry figures show that access to the internet through mobile devices has been slow, due mainly to costs of connection and the difficulty in finding information.

But, more involvement from companies such as Yahoo!, Google and MSN changes this. Offering easier ways to search alongside mobile advertising will lead to the improvement of mobile websites and access to the mobile-web.
